Above The Trees

It is rainy and gray here in VT, but inside the fairy house it is always lovely, like living in A House Above The Trees by Ethel Cook Eliot. The book has just been re-released and you can buy it on Amazon- it is truly the most gentle story.

In the book a little girl named Hepatica learns about seeing "with clear eyes" inside a magical forest. Some of the characters include the Tree Girl and the Littlest Forest Child so I made some beautiful fairies based on the lovely tale.














I just know their tiny acorn hats and forest-y greens would make Ms. Cook go ga-ga!
